The Toyota Land Cruiser, which is widely known for being one of the most durable SUVs, is now being offered as a light commercial vehicle.
Fitted with the 2.8-litre diesel engine found in the standard Land Cruiser, the Utility also comes with four-wheel drive, a six-speed manual gearbox and a three-tonne towing capacity.
But rather than the rear compartment having seats, it has a flat loading bay with a non-slip floor and metal mesh separating the front seats from the back. Depending on the model type, you can access the section from the side-hinged tailgate or from the two side doors.
In the short-wheelbase (SWB) model you have 1,574 litres of load space, while the long-wheelbase (LWB) version comes with 2,216 litres. In terms of weight, the SWB is allowed to carry 593kg and the LWB can load 756kg.
It’s fitted with 17-inch steel wheels, cloth upholstery on the front seats, air conditioning, cruise control, a six-speaker audio system and Bluetooth, with the LWB model coming with USB and Aux connections.
