Toyota Verso gets new Trend Plus trim

The Toyota Verso MPV is adding a new tech-heavy trim to its line-up.

Toyota is enhancing the appeal of its Verso compact MPV by adding a new range-topping trim-grade above the Trend model – Trend Plus.

Focussed on enhancing technology features, the new Trend Plus model costs from £24,650, which is £6,880 more than the entry-level Active model. The key addition to the new trim is a rear seat DVD entertainment system, offered by two monitors mounted on the rear of each of the front seats. As well as offering DVD functionality, the monitors can also facilitate computer gaming – provided the right accessories are fitted. Power iPad holders are also an optional extra.

Toyota’s Touch 2 system is also fitted on Trend Plus models, which comes with satellite navigation, DAB radio and hands-free Bluetooth.

On top of these technology features, the Trend Plus model also gains a plethora of comfort features carried over from the preceding Trend grade. These features include leather upholstery, dual-zone air-conditioning, rear privacy glass and front parking sensors.

In addition to the new Trend Plus trim, Toyota is also adding some extra kit to some of its other trims – including the Icon model, which now gets 16-inch alloys and a Tidal Blue metallic paint job.

Prices for the new 2015 Toyota Verso start from £17,770, with seven-seat models starting from £18,300.
