Nissan has revealed UK pricing for its upcoming second-generation Leaf, with 2.Zero launch edition models now available to order.
The upcoming electric car starts in Visia spec at £21,990, after a £4,500 government grant, with fully-equipped Tekna models costing £33,655. Other trim levels include Acenta and N-Connecta.
Full equipment levels are yet to be revealed, but available to order now is a limited-edition 2.Zero launch model. This includes ProPilot autonomous technology, 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear heated seats, a heated steering wheel, a seven-inch infotainment display and a six-speaker sound system.
This limited-run model will be available in two colours — Spring Cloud and Pearl Black — and is available from £26,490. There is also an exclusive PCP finance offer introduced for the 2.Zero. Following a customer deposit of £5,138 and a dealer deposit of £1,000, the electric car will be available for £339 per month over three years, with a maximum of 10,000 annual miles.
The new Leaf’s 40kWh battery will allow for a 255-mile range on a single charge — a considerable improvement on the outgoing model’s 155-mile capacity.
European production of the new electric car will take place in Sunderland, but Nissan has yet to confirm delivery dates for the UK.
