Vauxhall opens order books for new Movano and electric Movano-e vans

The model completes the brand’s electric van range

Vauxhall has announced prices and specifications for the new Movano, which also spawns an electric Movano-e model.

The new Movano gets a redesigned front end, while also benefiting from additional technology – including Vauxhall Connect, blind spot monitoring and lane departure warning.

But the main change here is the addition of the Movano-e, which joins the Combo-e and Vivaro-e to complete the brand’s electric van range. Featuring a 118bhp electric motor and 70kWh battery, Vauxhall claims the model can travel for 139 miles on a single charge.

More conventional diesel engines are still offered, with a 2.2-litre unit available with either 138bhp or 163bhp. All these versions feature a manual gearbox and are front-wheel-drive.

A range of configurations are available to suit a raft of buyers, along with panel van, chassis cab and crew cab body styles.

Prices for the Movano start from £30,755 (excluding VAT) for an ‘Edition’ model, which comes as standard with DAB radio, Vauxhall Connect, a one-sided sliding door and a full steel bulkhead.

Upgrading to a Dynamic version – which is priced from £32,585 – adds Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and a useful tablet holder that can be tucked away into the glovebox.

The electric Movano-e is only available in the Dynamic trim level, with prices starting from £61,085.

Paul Willcox, managing director of Vauxhall, said: “With class-leading practicality and payload, alongside the latest safety features and technology, the new Movano and Movano-e are set to make an immediate impact in the large-LCV sector. Vauxhall is leading the electrification of the UK van market and is all about democratising access to electrified vehicles.”

Both the Movano and Movano-e are now available to order, with first deliveries due towards the end of 2021.
