Volkswagen has introduced a new variant of its Arteon fastback in the UK, bringing an element of exclusivity to the model.
This is the R-Line Edition, which builds on the R-Line grade with some extra features. New standard-fit items include keyless entry, a top-down camera system, Side Assist Plus with rear traffic alert and Park Assist for ease of parking.
There’s an extra element of adjustment with Volkswagen’s Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system included now too, which adds adaptive dampers than can be easily adjusted for more performance-oriented driving or a comfort-focused ride.
Rounding out the package is a Moonstone Grey paint finish with a contrasting black roof and door mirrors plush 20-inch Rosario Black alloy wheels.
Volkswagen says all of this equipment would normally command a £4,755 premium over a regular Arteon R-Line, but this version of the car is priced at just £845 extra.
Other standard features include a 9.2-inch infotainment system, VW’s Active Info Display, automatic LED headlights and a Nappa leather interior upholstery.
Just 370 examples of the Arteon R-Line Edition will be offered in the UK, with order books now open. Prices start from £36,850 with a selection of two petrol and two diesel engines offered.
