Volkswagen has introduced a new limited-edition version of its Amarok pickup truck, the Amarok Atacama.
Named after the Atacama Desert region in South America, the special-edition Amarok comes with a range of additional specs and equipment over the standard model and is priced from £26,850.
Available in a choice of Candy White, Horizon Blue and Deep Black finishes, the Amarok Atacama features bi-xenon headlights as standard, along with black rear styling bars and a black rear bumper.
Riding on 19-inch alloy wheels, the upgraded pickup also comes with a load bed coated with a special protective finish, plus exclusive Atacama side decals and a black foil finish on the B-pillars.
Inside, it comes as standard with leather upholstery and a newly-designed leather steering wheel, alongside Bluetooth phone connectivity, dual zone climate control and sat-nav as standard.
Like the rest of the Amarok range, buyers can specify the Atacama with a wide range of Volkswagen accessories like towcars, waterproof seat covers and chrome surrounds for the lights.
Power comes courtesy of a 177bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine with a choice of either six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearboxes, plus 4MOTION four-wheel drive.
Around 500 Amarok Atacama models will be available in the UK and are available to order now, while the standard Volkswagen Amarok is priced from £20,925.
