Volvo has revealed R-Design versions of its new S90 saloon and V90 estate. Both cars are available to order now and launch early next year.
The S90 and V90 are the latest large executive cars from Volvo, challenging the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series. Already available to order, first deliveries of the S90 are due to come to Britain this September, with the V90 estate following in October.
Sportier chassis and design
The freshly revealed R-Design version of both cars give them a sportier chassis set-up and a large array of premium equipment.
Unique exterior details for both cars include a bespoke front grille, new alloy wheels, spoiler-integrated fog lights and piano black trim on both the front and rear. The R-Design models will also be available in a distinctive dark blue paint finish for the body.
Inside, both cars gain a new sportier steering wheel, sports seats and ambient lighting.
Volvo says that the changes made to the chassis of both cars means they deliver “an energetic, road-hugging drive.”
Pricing for the Volvo S90 and V90 R-Design will be confirmed within the next few months. Both cars are expected to start from around £40,000.
