What is the Mini Chili pack?

Thinking of adding a little spice to your MINI? The Chili pack is available throughout the MINI range, and here’s all you need to know about it.

The MINI line-up is one of the most desirable thanks to its premium feel, throwback styling and interesting features – and to reduce confusion with each model, MINI offers the same trim levels for all of them.

One such trim is the Chili pack and it adds a sporty flavour to each model as well as extra technology and comfort options.

But what does the Chili pack offer and what else should you know about the option?

For this example, we chose the Cooper Hatch to display what the Chili pack adds and It includes:

  • Black upholstery in leather and cloth
  • Multi-functional sport steering wheel
  • Front sport seats
  • Rear park distance control

How much does it add to the price?

For the Cooper Hatch example we listed above, the additional cost is £2,800 to the original list price of £17,345 – but it really depends on which model you go for. On the Countryman, for example, it is an additional £3,200 but you get different equipment to suit the vehicle. But whenever these packs are added, customers get savings on the equipment added compared to if each piece had been fitted individually. On the Cooper Hatch, customers save £625 when fitting the Chili pack, while Cooper Countryman customers save £1,235 – so great savings all round.

What other Chili options are there?

If you’re after a sportier offering from your option pack, customers can choose the John Cooper Works Chili Pack, which adds further sporty equipment but for a higher premium. For example, on the Cooper Hatch you get John Cooper Works-sourced equipment for a sportier design and feel, and adds £4,450 to the list price.
