2017 Jaguar XF Sportbrake: fresh teaser pictures arrive

Jaguar has given us our best look yet at their new 2017 XF Sportbrake, the latest premium estate from the popular British brand.

Jaguar has revealed more teaser pictures and details of its new XF Sportbrake. This time we get a good look at the premium estate in a tennis-themed disguise livery. Jaguar has also confirmed that the Sportbrake will be presented in undisguised form on 14 June.

The XF Sportbrake, which will reportedly be revealed with the help of tennis star Andy Murray, is Jaguar’s latest rival to the BMW 5 Series Touring, Audi A6 Avant and Mercedes E-Class Estate.

The latest teaser images show that the styling of the Sportbrake is very similar to the latest XF Saloon, especially at the front, but the car will offer more headroom, a bigger boot and a full-length panoramic glass roof. The new roof was confirmed in the XF Sportbrake’s first teaser image.

Boot capacity will reportedly be about 600 litres, while nearly 1,700 litres load capacity could be offered with the rear seats folded.

Similar trims and engines to XF saloon

Based on the same aluminium architecture as its saloon counterpart, the new XF Sportbrake is expected to use the same engines as the saloon version too so expect 2.0-litre Ingenium diesels and a 3.0-litre petrol V6 to feature.

The V6 will feature on a XF Sportbrake S model likely to offer 297bhp, while an even more potent V6 boasting 375bhp will reportedly be offered on a more hardcore SVR derivative.

Pricing for the 2017 XF Sportbrake is likely to start from near £35,000. The XF saloon currently starts from £32,300.
