Ferrari’s new LaFerrari Aperta has already sold out

Ferrari has used the floodlights of the 2016 Paris Motor Show to unveil its latest supercar, the LaFerrari convertible. Contrary to popular rumours however, the new convertible is not called LaFerrari Spider, instead it carries the name LaFerrari Aperta.

Being the Italian word for ‘open’, Aperta is a rather appropriate suffix for the new LaFerrari.

Same performance, without the roof

Ferrari says that the new convertible supercar will boast the same torsional rigidity as the hardtop version and feature the same 950bhp V12 petrol engine.

Only 209 LaFerrari Aperta’s are being made, with 200 up for grabs by Ferrari customers and nine reserved for use by the Italian carmaker in upcoming events.

All 200 examples of the LaFerrari Aperta have already sold out however – and if you did want to buy one, it’s not as easy as just having enough cash - buying a Ferrari can be a rather arduous process.
