Euro NCAP has announced the Range Rover Evoque has been awarded a five-star safety rating in its latest raft of testing.
The premium compact SUV scored the highest adult occupant rating of any Jaguar Land Rover model to date – 94 per cent – as well as 87 per cent for child occupants.
Built on Land Rover’s new Premium Transverse Architecture, the Evoque also uses the latest driver assistance systems, such as emergency braking, lane keep assist, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera – all of which comes as standard.
Additional safety assists can be added, such as the park pack with 360-degree camera view, park assist and rear traffic monitor, and the drive pack that includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot assist and high speed emergency braking.

Prices for the new version of the Evoque start from £31,600.
