Vauxhall Grandland X SUV pricing revealed

Pricing and specification details for the Vauxhall Grandland X have been revealed a couple of months before the SUV's first public appearance.

Pricing has been revealed for the Vauxhall Grandland X, a new mid-size SUV which will rival the likes of the SEAT Ateca, Renault Kadjar and Nissan Qashqai. The Grandland X will start from £22,310.

First revealed earlier this year, the Grandland X sits above both the Crossland X and Mokka X in Vauxhall’s crossover SUV range. The starting price of the Grandland X is more than many of its rivals, but the Vauxhall offers a lot of standard kit in return.

The range starts with the Tech Line Nav trim, which carries the £22,310 starting price tag. It comes with an eight-inch Intellilink touchscreen infotainment system with sat-nav and Vauxhall’s OnStar assistance built-in. Also included is 18-inch alloy wheels, climate control and safety features like blind spot assist, lane departure warning and automatic wipers.

Expected to be more popular amongst private buyers though is the SE trim, which starts from £22,485. This version features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, cruise control and rear parking sensors.

Other trims include Sport Nav, which starts from £24,595, and the range-topping Elite Nav which starts at £26,660 and comes with the likes of leather seats and 19-inch alloys.

The engine line-up from launch will comprise of just units – a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 128bhp and a 1.6-litre diesel with 118bhp.

The Grandland X is expected to be front-wheel drive only from launch, but as the Vauxhall is based on the same platform as the Peugeot 3008, the Grip Control torque distribution system will feature, allowing the SUV to adapt to different road conditions.

Vauxhall will present the Grandland X to the public later this year at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Grandland X will reportedly go on sale shortly after its Frankfurt appearance, with first deliveries following in early 2018.
